The Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta

On July 21st, 1909, the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta was installed with 14 active members, along with 10 graduate members. Forty women celebrated Kappa Alpha Theta's 40th chapter with dinner, toasts, and songs. Many alumnae say the celebration lasted far into the evening, and joked about the generous rewards given to taxi drivers for the late rides home!

With much excitement, on January 21st, 2012, the Alpha Xi Chapter was reestablished at the University of Oregon. The chapter has grown tremendously within the past three years and looks forward to the fuure. We are so proud of our achievements, including our philanthropy event, making first in grades of all the Panhellenic chapters at the University of Oregon, and amazing sisterhood events.

Mary and Nancy, two Alpha Xi alumnae who pledged in 1950, shared their story at our scholarship and senior service banquet! They even brought along a picture to share their Theta memories.
